Patterned after famed Mirecourt maker, Eugène Sartory, this mid-20th century unmarked French bow bow is in pristine condition and bears all the earmarks of Mirecourt craftsmanship typical of trade bows produced by firms like JTL and Laberte and Morizot Brothers. A well balanced and responsive bow.
Historically, Mirecourt has always been considered the center of European bow making. Such luminaries as Vuillaume, Vorin , Bazin and Sartory are names associated with the history of French makers centered in and around Mirecout. Many of the noted Markneukirchen German makers, learned their craft from Mirecourt altiliers and copied their work.
